The 2021 Dark Horse Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, well-structured red wine. A bouquet of dark berry, freshly ground coffee and dried herb notes bound from the glass, then carry through to the palate. Undercurrents of cola, shaved dark chocolate and a dust of cinnamon add rich complexity that carries through to a strong finish.
Our 2021 Dark Horse Buttery Chardonnay is a rich wine layered with notes of buttercream and vanilla bean. The mouthfeel is full and brims with hints of juicy pineapple and pear that pull through to a crisp finish.
The Dark Horse Double Down Red Blend is a full-bodied red wine with glorious aromas of fig and blueberry jam that dance together with dark chocolate, molasses, and hints of blackberry. A rich mouthfeel gives way to intense fruit concentration, a little heat, and lingering toasted oak.
The 2022 Dark Horse Pinot Noir is a smooth, medium-bodied wine from California. Notes of Bing cherry and raspberry meet aromas of shaved cedar in this bright wine. A polished mouthfeel leads to a lingering finish with a touch of strawberry.

Viticulture Notes
The 2022 growing season was warmer than normal with average crop yields. Increasing temperatures hastened harvest during August, which produced smaller yields of highly concentrated berries.

We harvested the grapes for this wine during the cool evening hours. Grapes were then brought to the winery, destemmed, and gently crushed before being fermented at temperatures of between 88°-92°F. This warmer fermentation served to further concentrate flavors and extract intense color from the skins. The wine was aged on oak post fermentation to add complexity and balance.
The 2022 Dark Horse Rosé is a dry wine that perfectly captures summer. Subtle aromas of vine-ripe strawberry rise from the glass with an underlying hint of grapefruit. Juicy layers of pomegranate and sliced watermelon brighten the palate, leading to a crisp finish.

Grapes for our Rosé are sourced from select vineyards throughout California. Harvest 2022 produced slightly lower yields after experiencing temperature variations. The grapes show beautiful acidity and complex flavor characteristics.

Winemaking Notes
We harvested the fruit for this wine during the cooler evening and morning hours. To achieve intense aromas and an expressive mouthfeel, we fermented the wine at low to moderate temperatures between 55-62⁰ F, carefully selecting aromatic yeast. After fermentation, all lots were aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling to preserve the inherent fruit qualities and natural acidity of the wine.
Break out the bubbly wine in a can because the celebration is wherever you are. The champion of class and comfort food, Dark Horse Brut Bubbles’ notes of apples, pears and toasted oak complement anything from fried chicken to fried calamari.
